Meet Our LASIK Surgeons
Marc Sanders, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Marc Sanders, M.D., F.A.C.S., chief surgeon of Freedom LASIK Sugar Land, is a recognized leader in cataract and refractive surgery. Among the first surgeons to perform laser vision correction more than ten years ago, Dr. Sanders has stayed at the forefront of this rapidly changing field. He was one of the first surgeons to offer new techniques, such as IntraLase, all-laser LASIK, custom wavefront LASIK, conductive keratoplasty, refractive lens exchange, and presbyopic intraocular lens. In fact, Dr. Sanders is a part-time professor at Baylor College of Medicine where he teaches surgeons in training. Committed to education and research, Dr. Sanders has published articles in the leading ophthalmic journals and has participated in clinical trials.
It should come as no surprise that many physicians and surgeons in the Houston area have chosen Dr. Sanders to perform their own eye surgery. The fact that these doctors have inside knowledge of the abilities of all eye surgeons in the area is a testament to Dr. Sanders’ surgical skill. Dr. Sanders has also operated on a variety of local and national celebrities.
